The OLPC Day event takes place at Olin College of Engineering in Needham, MA. If you are visiting from off campus, there are a number of transportation options available to get you close to Olin, with a short walk, taxi ride, or pickup from a student to get you the rest of the way here (please note if you need a ride in your email!). The closest T stops to Olin are Eliot, Woodland, and Riverside on the green line, each about 4 miles from Olin. To get into Needham and a 2 mile walk (5 minute drive), head to the Needham Center stop on the Needham commuter rail line starting at South Station (where the bus terminal is located). If you are using a Peter Pan, Greyhound, or Chinatown bus, this will be where you are dropped off in Boston. The best way to get here is in a car, where you can pull right into Olin's main parking lot at no cost for the day. Click here for the Google Maps link to Olin. When you pull in the parking lot and the road seems to fork, head to the left and park in one of the top three tiers of the six tier parking lot. The event is located inside the Campus Center, one of three buildings touching the grass and brick oval in the center of campus. We will be in the mezzanine of the dining hall, which you will immediately see when entering the campus center. If you feel lost, just ask anyone you see, people are pretty friendly here. As always, if you have questions send an email to olinolpc@gmail.com |
